Thank you for choosing to nominate a volunteer in our community. Nominations are considered by the Mayor’s Office throughout the year and volunteers (and their nominators) will be invited to attend the Civic Appreciation Event which takes place on March 6 each year. The information and photos submitted with this nomination form will be used during the event to recognize the volunteer(s).
Who is Eligible?
- Individuals, couples, organizations, or groups of three or more individuals who live and volunteer in the City of Prince George
Who isn't Eligible?
- Sitting members of Parliament or the Legislature, or members of the judiciary who still hold office
- Self-nominated applicants
- Individuals who would be awarded posthumously
Completing the Nomination Form
In the nomination summary statement, nominators are asked to summarize the volunteer contributions of their nominee(s). It will be important to highlight the impact of the nominees’ contributions, particularly how his/her/their efforts enriched the lives of others or the community as a whole. The narrative may include reference to length of service, challenges that the nominee(s) faced, statistics, or other information that helps to tell the story of his/her/their volunteer contributions.
Nominators are asked to submit up to three (3) photos of their nominees in action. These photos will be displayed during the Annual Civic Appreciation Event on March 6.
